Cornbread, a gifted basketball player, has won a scholarship and is about to get out of the ghetto when in a case of mistaken identity he's shot by the police. The youngsters in the ghetto worshipped Cornbread, and the police are trying to cover up the murder. An 11 year old black boy saw it all...on his testimony rests the explosive case!
